Ever have those days when you feel like a dirty look or one wrong word could turn your entire day sour? Welp, that's kinda how I feel today. Despite the fact it's been an okay day. I like my lab teacher. Andria is very bright and bouncy and ready to help. She makes some good analogies too. So that was good. I found out that my Medical Terminology class is on Tuesdays... not Thursdays... Thankfully they hadn't dropped me yet so I'm still enrolled in that class. And now, I'm in one of those moods.... Stressed? Possibly. And I don't expect that will go away either. But oh well. I signed up for this.

Well we're through the A&P (Anatomy and Physiology) lecture part! That was yesterday morning. It went really well! I think I'm really going to like my teacher. Professor Evans is the kind of prof that has high standards and you rise to meet them or you don't make it. However, I like the way he teaches and his expectations aren't ridiculous (at least for me). So, I'm sure it'll involved lots of memorization and study time but it shouldn't be too terrible. :) Tomorrow is A&P Lab and Medical Terminology. Fun fun fun!

Hello dear reader! As of today, we can wave goodbye to summer (though for some of you, that may have happened a few weeks ago). I myself start classes today. So, what's on the menu for this semester? Well I'll tell you.
Tuesday morning is Anatomy and Physiology class. Thursday morning is A&P Lab and afternoon is Medical Terminology. Friday morning is Beginning & Intermediate Algebra class. Then for the first 8 weeks, I have an online Microcomputers class. The second 8 weeks includes a Psychology class and Ethics class, both online as well. So as you can see, I have my plate pretty full!
I'm also still looking for a job. I've applied at a few places so far but no luck yet. Sooo I gotta keep looking. Also, my dad just bought he and I a pass to the YMCA! You know what that means? SWIMMING!!!!! :D :D :D Oh happy day! I went this morning and it is sooooooo good to get in the water again (for those of you who don't know, I swam for two years in middle school)! And it's even nicer that I can just go at my own pace and I don't have any coaches yelling in my ears. So we're talking distance, not speed. (Though I'll admit, I did catch myself racing the guy in the lane next to me this morning once...)
ALSO! I got a pattern for a nightgown for my birthday in February and my grandma and I FINALLY went to get material last week! So on Tuesday nights now, we're going to sew away! :D And I shall have a lovely soft pink nightgown when it's done! Well... assuming I don't ruin it in the sewing process that is...
As for more short term events, today is my brother's 17th birthday! O_o I remember being 17... Craziness!!! Also, I'll be going with Dearest Carl and his family this weekend to Michigan to visit some friends that live there! :D Happiness!!!

Good morning fair reader! Today, I wanted to ramble a little bit about chivalry. Why? Because the world today says that chivalry is dead. We women don't need a man to take care of us...... HA!
Okay, lets go waaaaay back. Genesis 2:20b - 22: "But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man."
Hey look! God created Eve to be a helper for Adam and brought her to him. He created her to be feminine, vulnerable and beautiful. And Adam was to protect her and lead her! So, now that we've established that we were created to need men, why is chivalry important?
Well, I think all women have the desire to be valued and loved. So, when a man goes out of his way to open a door, carry a heavy load or open the impossible pickle jar, we feel as if we're valued! We feel like we're worth the effort! Even further, flowers, letters, chocolate and any other little gifts make us feel loved! "He spent the time and effort (and possibly money) because he was thinking of me!..... *insert happy dance*"
Many men today have believed the lie that chivalry is dead. Too many are engrossed in their work, video games or other such activities and the fairer sex is left to fend for itself. Some women like this. Others (like myself) only see neglect and lazy selfishness. I am blessed to know quite a few young men who are very chivalrous and I pray that someday, my future husband and I can raise our sons to be the same.
So, when a man goes out of his way to open the door, don't take it for granted! Thank him and encourage him to show that kind of respect and love for us.

Good morning my dear readers! It's only 10 in the morning and already I feel ever so productive!!! This week is my week without work and school and any sane person might sleep in until ungodly hours of the morning. However, I determined not to be lazy and get up at 7. *waits for applause*...... Anyway, after doing my devotions, I "went for a run", which was more walking than running but oh well. And then came breakfast and a shower and here I sit at 10 am in the morning, all ready to go to the bank and take in another job application! Yeah! It's been a good morning!
Oh and I can't leave without mentioning that I actually have an adventure to go on today! Dearest Carl and I are off to the State Fair this afternoon! :D So not only has the morning been great but it's going to be an awesome day!

Phew! Long time no update! My sincerest apologies. Lots has happened since I last wrote! Well, okay maybe not lots but it feels like a lot! Why you ask? Well, the reason is simple...
I CHANGED MY MAJOR!!!!! Yup. I did what 80% of the American College Student population does at least once during their college career. I dropped my English dreams for something else. What? An associates degree in Health Information Technology. It's like the office side of the medical field. Now honestly, I'm not into the whole medical thing. I'm just not called to be a nurse or doctor. But lately, I've been more reluctant about college than usual and I've been looking for something that might make it a shorter experience and yet still give me job opportunities. My dad has been assisting me and advising me as only my beloved father can. He was the one that actually found this degree and once I looked into it, it became more and more appealing. The classes are hard and boring and I probably won't like them BUT I will be staying at Ivy instead of transferring, consequently saving me money and hopefully a semester to a year of college! Also, I can win all that and still have some good job opportunities when I'm done! Also, I've been feeling as though I need to quit looking at my own dreams and start looking at the dreams of me and someone else. And ditching the English career for something I don't like but for the good of both of us makes me happier than anything! I'm not just thinking of my selfish little self! And the way things have been working out with this change, I believe God is blessing this direction. :) Oh happiness!

Happy Friday my lovely readers! My apologies for lack of my pretty pink feminine posts the last few weeks. I've been absent from home the past few Fridays and not able to write. So, now that I have some time, I will give you something to read!
Many people know that we women are not risky. Taking a risk isn't something we enjoy or something we encourage. However, that does not mean we don't like adventures! Oh how we enjoy being the heroine of a story. This (and any gentlemen reading this, listen close), THIS is why we love Jane Austen's stories, Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre, Anne of Green Gables, The King and I, Little Women, The Inheritance and My Fair Lady! They all have a heroine who saves the day, is won by the handsome knight and lives happily ever after WHILE being beautiful, classy, witty, delicate and feminine! And we all wonder.... how do they do it?! Answer: I really don't know. But I do love a good adventure! Sometimes I wish I were a pirate captain, in my red skirt and boots, stomping around the deck, swishing my long graceful sword back and forth, ordering my crew about, my long hair blowing in the salty sea breeze, only to stop for a spot of tea. Or sometimes, I wish I were an Indian princess, roaming the wild woods and fields, befriending the birds and deer (kinda like Snow White). Ah, adventure. All in a lovely white dress that stays spotless until the end of the movie. Don'tcha love it! :D
