Monday Favorites: Daffodils

Happy Monday everyone! Today's favorite is my all time favorite flower which blooms in March! Can you guess? :)

Yup! Daffodils! :) They're so yellow and springy and happy! They make me smile. :) Oh for a bouquet of them in my room! Oh well. The one's in the yard will have to suffice. Here is a poem by William Wordsworth that is all about the pretty flowers! :)
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed - and gazed - but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
Here's your song!

Enjoy your day and keep your smiles on! Until next time!

Wishlist Thursday: Life

I'm kinda in a lamenting mood today. And I have two things I'm wishing for. I think the pictures should say enough.

Ah well. It's coming.

Keep your smiles on. Until next time.

Homemaker Wednesday: Lemonade

Good morning dear reader! Today is going to be sunny and hot, savoring strongly of summer. That, of course, has me thinking about some summery things! Like bright flowers, blue skies, picnics and of course, lemonade. Growing up, my mom always had a pitcher of lemonade in the fridge during the summer. We'd come in all hot and sweaty from running around in the backyard with my cousins and served ourselves water bottles full of deliciousness! Sometimes it was just plain lemonade but sometimes, my mom would add mint leaves or strawberries for a different flavor. Looking around Pinterest the other day, I found this picture that has a few good ideas for some different lemonade! Oh I can't wait to try some this summer! Take a look!

Interesting ideas huh! I'm looking forward to a cool delicious summer now. :) Enjoy your song!

Enjoy your Wednesday and keep those smiles on! Until next time! :)

Monday Favorites: Adequate Insults

Happy Monday everyone! Today's post is a very simple site that amuses me to the core. :)

Have you ever disliked something so much, but felt you couldn't come up with an adequate insult? Yeah, me too (like math! :P). BUT there's hope for us yet! I found a site that is called the Shakespearean Insulter. You press a simple button and up pops your insult, straight from one of Shakespeare's books! Clever right? Many of these are just what I'm looking for when it comes to defacing something so odious as math! Take a look and happy insulting!

Here's your song!

I hope you have a lovely Monday and keep those smiles on! Until next time!

Wish List Thursday: Travel

Happy Thursday to all my dear readers! Today it is cool and rainy and reminding me of a place I want to go!
Ireland

Out of every place in the world, this is where I want to go ever so badly! To see their quaint little cottages, stony green rolling fields and ancient dilapidated castles. And to hear those amazing Irish accents and the old Gaelic language all around you! *wistful sigh* Plane ticket anyone?

Enjoy your day and whatever the weather, keep those smiles on! Until next time!

The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go."

Homemaker Wednesday: Simplicity

Hello readers! It's been a while since I've posted a homemaker post but today I have something to share with you! The past few days this week, I've been registering for wedding gifts. As I've been sifting through item after item, it has me thinking about simplicity.

When Dearest Carl and I have our own apartment, I want to create a home that is clean, orderly, welcoming, comfortable and without loads of clutter. Now I do like decorating (I wanted to be an Interior Designer for a while) but I don't like clutter. When my room is clean, organized and clutter free, I feel so much more relaxed and at home. I'm trying to keep this in mind as I'm registering for things. There's a lot I could ask for but I have to ask myself "Do I really need this?" So basically, I'm trying to do some Spring Cleaning before I even get there. :)

My question for you is... do you need to do some Spring Cleaning?

Well, now I'm off to have some lunch. Enjoy your day and keep those smiles on! Until next time!

Monday Favorites: A Quote

Happy Monday all! This week is Spring Break and this weekend will be just wonderful! Why? Book shopping and lunch with my Grandma, Bridesmaids dress shopping with the ladies, no homework, spending time with Dearest Carl. Ahh yes.

Anyway, enough rambling. Here's a favorite quote. :)

Have a lovely afternoon! Until next time!

Feminine Friday: Girl Speak

Happy Friday all my lovely readers! Today I wanted to share a picture with you and my thoughts on it. So be prepared for more of a ramble. ;) Here is the picture I found.

Okay now before I go on, may I say that THIS IS COMPLETELY TRUE?! It seems like for all of us girls, we have two languages; what we say and what we mean. Now what I question is, why must we be like that? Why can't we just say one thing and that's what we meant, no other secret meaning behind it? And we wonder why husbands get confused!

I want to make an effort to say what I mean. Yeah I'm a girl so I'm going to not do so great at it sometimes but I'd rather communicate well with people instead of saying one thing and not what I really think. The Bible calls us to speak truthfully and is it truthful to say one thing and mean another? That might be taking it a little bit far but that's what I wonder. So my goal is to do away with Girl Speak as much as I can and say exactly what I mean!

Now for your song, which has nothing to do with this post. :) It's March! And Spring is coming! And nobody does it better than Vivaldi! :)

Well my dear readers, I hope you enjoy your day, rain or shine! And keep those smiles on! Until next time!

Wish List Thursday: Music

Good morning readers! It's Thursday and it's also midterms week which means I've been a bit negligent. =/ I apologize. One thing on my wish list is this CD, the Emma soundtrack by Rachel Portman.

I absolutely love this music and was thrilled when I found it! :) Here's a sample from Youtube. :)

Keep your smiles on and enjoy your Thursday! Until next time!
