Delirious

I'm sure you're probably thinking "What a strange title." but that's me right now. Just going through the motions. School, work, life. It's all so boring! I want something more! I want to do something! Something big! Something drastic! Something world/life changing! But I haven't figured out what that is yet.

Talking to my dad Monday, it seems I can't do anything right. Come on! I'm working two jobs, excelling in school, saving my money for college, helping mom around the house, romantically free and easy and yet he still finds things wrong. Apparently I need to find a new job because the one I have doesn't pay enough. I'm not allowed to spend my money on anything, I'm to ask my parents for the cash they don't ever have. WHAT?! Well I've about had enough of this. I understand that I need to save my money for college but if I don't leave God some room to provide, He won't. Also, I'm not quitting my job because I love my job! So he can go sit on a tack. Ok that was mean but really. We were at the bank to get my checking account started Monday and when the guy asked me how much I wanted in savings and how much in the checking account, my dad answers for me. EXCUSE ME!! He was talking to ME! It's MY money! Don't you think I should be the one to make the decisions now? I'm glad for his help with it all but I need a little space! Ok I'm done ranting now.

My week was boring last week. The norm. This week hasn't been any better so far. I'm working today, tomorrow and Friday. Saturday's Halloween. I might be going to Kate's to spend the night Friday and I might be helping Mrs. Remmel paint her bedroom Saturday. And I might not be doing anything this weekend. We'll see. Sunday is church and then Joyce and Leslie are taking us girls out to shop for our Operation Christmas Child boxes. One good thing this week. The other good thing was that we didn't have any shoe boxes so my mom and I went to get shoes! Mine are sparkly silver and whenever I wear them, I feel like clicking my heels and chanting "There's no place like home. There's no place like home." I'm gonna wear them Sunday.

Well I guess I'd probably better go eat lunch now. I hear food is a good thing for you. Until next time.

Monday, Monday, Monday

What a weekend! Let me fill you in. Jess came Saturday morning and we went to pick up Kate. The three of us cleaned the church and went to Chinese for lunch. "Yeah, Casey waits until you have rice in your mouth and then she strikes." hehehe That was fun. Then we came back to my house for a few hours and just hung out, dancing around my room like crazies and having deep discussions about Communism. Then we grabbed Garrett and went to the Ostendorf's for the wiener roast which was awesome! We played games, ate hot dogs, cupcakes and s'mores and sat around the fire. All the way home we sang Disney songs. Jess spent the night and she was freaking me out, telling me that she saw shadows out my window. Ugh. It took forever for me to get to sleep after that.

Sunday we were late to first service. After church I went to the B&B to clean. Then I came home, caught the end of my Grandma's family dinner, watched a movie, ate Grandma's leftovers and went to bed.

Ok so now we're to today. Co-op was good. Worldview was boring, Biology was interesting, got lots of homework done in Study Hall and we blocked our skit in Drama. Then I came home and have been on the computer talking to various friends all afternoon. We had pizza for dinner. Woot! Angie is coming to pick me up in half an hour to go finish cleaning the B&B. Then to bed for some much needed sleep.

This week, I gotta get all my homework done in about 3 days. I'm working on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Thursday morning we're going to see 'The Giver' as a play. Not sure if I'm looking forward to that or not. Mom's leaving Friday night for a Homeschool Mom's Retreat and will be gone until Saturday afternoon late which means I won't have a life this weekend cause I'll be stuck home with the kids. Blah. I'm working again next Sunday at the B&B so lots of paychecks this week. Money is a good thing.

Through the air they prance

Golden kernels ripe and ready

Procrastinating

So I really should be doing SAT study right now but I realized that I haven't caught you up on my weekend yet! Procrastination is a girl's best friend.

Saturday was good. I felt very productive because I spend the whole morning doing laundry, washing dishes, cleaning the house and taking care of the baby until my mom got home. When she did, I went to Kate's for a few hours and we went walking to our swings. Good times.

Sunday went by in a flash! I was up at church at 8 and did mime for both services. It went great!! Everyone who participated really pulled their weight and it turned out really well. The crowd loved us! After church, dad treated us to Subway and I spent about 3 hours on Facebook. I know I know, I'm addicted. But when you're so tired, you need something to do that doesn't require much thinking. Facebook was the first thing that came to mind. Anyway, then it was back to church for the open house which was fabulous! We had lots of regulars come as well as new people!! And again, the mime was a hit. I went to bed so happy and relieved that it was over. You know that feeling of a physical weight being lifted off your shoulders? Yeah, that was me.

Monday went well too. We went to Starbucks for my worldview class!! Coffee and fallacies, pretty good combination. In biology, we got the entire study guide done which means it's just my outline and some coloring to do this week!! Study hall consisted of writing a long letter to Jess and doing no homework. Then came drama, my favorite class of the day. We were assigned our parts in the skits for SWIDN in December! I'm a Drill Sergent! Yes you heard right, me a Drill Sergent. This should be interesting. :) After Co-op, I went to work with Angie and finished making the beds for her guests this weekend. Yet another check in the hidden envelope that's waiting to go to the bank.

Yesterday was fabulous! I was home almost all day! I woke up at 8 and took my time with breakfast. Mom got me really good coffee creamer (Chocolate Mint)!! Mmmmmm, I love my mommy. Then I worked on school and went to Target with my mom to shop for birthday presents for cousins. She bought me fun knee-high stripity socks! And they're purple!!

Today, it's almost 11 and the only thing I've done is taken a shower and worked on the skit a little bit. I have to finish the SAT stuff and do that Bio coloring today. Work at 3. Then I will either be going to small groups at church or staying home with the sick Maisy while the rest of the fam goes. I'm not sure.

What? You want to hear about the schedule for this week? Well, if you insist. You already know about today. Tomorrow is Thursday and yet another day I have nothing on my calendar! That means I get to spend all day working on my Bio outline. Joy. Friday is as usual, school and work. Saturday I'm spending the day with Kate and Jess and then we have a youth group wiener roast at the Ostendorf's! Then Jess is spending the night with me since her dad has a race. I'm so excited! Sunday is church and I'm working at the B&B. So there you go. That's my week.

The trees are so pretty outside! I love fall! I wrote a poem about it a few weeks ago. Maybe that'll be my post tomorrow? We'll see.

Tired

I am so glad tomorrow's Saturday! This week has been crazy! Monday was Co-op as usual. Tuesday I did school and went shopping with Dawn (interior designing stuff if you remember). Wednesday I did school and worked and then went to church to babysit for a prayer meeting. Yesterday I did school, worked and went to mime practice (which went well!). Today I've done school and I'm going to work in a little bit. When I get home, I gotta fix dinner and I'm fixing Blackberry cobbler! Woot! My mom's leaving on an overnight with my Grandma. PARTY! Tomorrow I am watching the baby while the whole family is out and about. Oh! And Kate's taking the SAT tomorrow! GOOD LUCK DEARIE!! Then comes Sunday FINALLY! We perform for the two services and the party in the evening. I can't wait till it's over! In all this, I've been staying up late chatting on FB and getting up early. So I'm burning the candle at both ends and praying I don't get sick. We'll see.

My Weekend

Woo hoo!! I am in a very good mood! Let me recount to you my weekend.

The Renaissance Faire yesterday was amazing! The whole group I went with was dressed up fabulously. I felt rather tame compared to them, me in my skirt and peasant shirt. But to help the costume, I bought a pale green cloak. And it's LONG!!! I love it! So, the day consisted of walking around looking at all the shops (I swear I saw every sword present as I walked around with Dustin for a while), drinking fabulous root beer and watching a real jousting tournament where the knights seemed rather witty. I came home looking sunkissed and saying "My Lady, my lord," etc. I hope I can go to the next one in Cincinnati in a few weeks.

Today was good too! Church was fabulous (my dad did an excellent job this morning). Jess graced us with her presence and Matt drove me to work afterwards. Walking out to the car, he randomly commented "I hate girl drama." "Me too." Work went well. Angie made Matt vacuum again. Woot! I got the bathrooms cleaned and made a few beds but since Angie wanted to leave early, we'll have to go back sometime this week to finish them. When I got home, I spent a while on Facebook and talking to my friend Joe. He's great. Anyway, then I went with my dad and got McDonald's for the fam. And now I'm here writing this.

Co-op tomorrow. I used to look forward to Co-op but not anymore. This year there are so many more rules! And the clicks are unbearable. I can't wait to graduate!

Days of Our Lives

What a day. It's weird how one thing can ruin your day which otherwise would have been pretty good. This morning I woke up and my dad yelled at me (yes, yelled) for sleeping in. 8:00 woo hoo. That right there ruined my entire day.

Mom left with the three youngest on a field trip for the day and Garrett and I were left home alone which was probably a good thing. I got all my worldview and bio homework done before lunch which was also a good thing. We had pizza for lunch and then I spent the afternoon cleaning and doing laundry. I also decorated the kitchen for Gavin's birthday on Sunday (we're celebrating Saturday). Yet another good thing. Then Ms. Marci brought us ice cream and took me to work. Another good thing. Work was fine, your average day and I got off half an hour early. Another good thing. My mom was in a good mood when I got home so that was definitely a good thing. I couldn't have handled her in a bad mood. Then we had mime practice which went well. Kate brought us cookies which were fabulous. After practice, Kate and I had a long talk with Jess about family problems which wasn't a good thing but it was good that we talked about it. Then I came home and here I am, laying on my bed in the dark, listening to the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack while watching this. So there's my day for you.

Let's see. Tomorrow I have to work on my Bio Outline which will probably take me most of the day. Then I have to work which is usual for Fridays. Then Saturday we're having Gavin's birthday breakfast and giving him his presents (I got him a Nancy Drew computer game) and I leave for the Renaissance Fair with Shannon at 9. Looking forward to that. Then Gavin's birthday dinner of steak and potatoes (typical). Sunday is church and I'm working and then it's Monday. Ugh. I don't even want to think about starting another week right now.

It's October today. Some of the leaves are turning bright red and yellow, but some are just turning brown. Lovely. The weather is cooler which I love and we have our fall decorations around the house. Also, we have a gallon of apple cider in the fridge and fresh apples!! I love driving down our road and hearing the wind rustling through the dry corn. I can't wait until Thanksgiving!

Hearts, Rainbows and Pink Prancing Ponies

Yes, you read that right. Hearts, rainbows and pink prancing ponies. That's my day today! I don't know why but I'm in a fabulously good mood! Even if it is gray and rainy outside.

I woke up this morning and just felt like praising God for all the blessings He's given me. A healthy body that works perfectly. A wonderful mom and amazing dad that teach me, protect me and love me. Four insanely awesome siblings who make me laugh every day. The blue sky and sunshine (even if I can't see it today). The turning leaves and fall breeze. Apple cider and fresh apple pie with ice cream (my dessert last night). My desire to be a wife and mother. My crazy wonderful friends (Kate especially). The opportunity to be homeschooled. My two jobs, fab colleagues and great bosses. My Worldview class. Music by Tchaikovsky and Andrew Lloyd Webber. My church and mime team. My curly hair and blue eyes. God's amazing love for me!! I could list lots more but I'll spare you dear reader.

I love my life and I'm so thankful that God put me where He put me. And that's all I have to say about that.

Philosophy, Bones and Relationships

Surprised to see me back so soon? I am too. But I finished my homework for today and this spare minute finds me here blogging. Thought I'd update you with this week's past, present and future.

First, the Ghost of Christmas Past. Yesterday was a better day than I thought it would be! Co-op was droll (of course) and talking about Postmodernism in Worldview Class thoroughly scrambled my brains. Then, in Advanced Bio, we watched short videos on Youtube about Lobotomies which thoroughly scrambled my stomach. Thank goodness I hadn't eaten breakfast or I would have skipped lunch. After lunch though is what mattered. I had a fabulous talk with Shannon! *audience gasps* Yes, that Shannon. We talked through our troubles and now we're pretty much back to normal! It's such a relief! Then the funniest thing happened. At dinner, my dad showed us the silliest song on Youtube and got it stuck in our heads so we showed him this:

Well, he watches it for a minute and starts doing the badger dance!! It was the best thing I've ever seen! Everyone was on the floor with laughter and I think we effectively got the song stuck in his head. HA!

Ok, now to open the Present. Today I've been working on homework so far. I read the assigned for worldview which was talking about Christian Philosophy. A little over my head but I'll discuss it with mom later. Then I took my Bio test which was mostly labeling bones. I think I did pretty well on it so we'll find out. I haven't a clue what else is going on today so I suspect it will just be lazing around with the family. Good times.

Back to the Future! This week is pretty normal. School for the next three days. Working tomorrow and Friday. Mime on Thursday. Then Saturday I'm taking Garrett to lunch and we're going to the Remmel's for a while. Mrs. Remmel wants me to help her pick out a color to paint her bedroom! INTERIOR DESIGNING!!! Sunday is church and we have family night which we teens are directing. I'm so pumped to show everyone the movie we made. Hopefully I will have time to blog some more before then but we shall see.
